- The engraved t.p. by Cherubino Alberti is the same as that of the 1583 1st ed., with changes to the text and substitution of the arms of Marcantonio Borghese, to whom the ed. is dedicated. Engraved and woodcut ill., including 8 full-page engravings and 1 woodcut. The engravings are by Vignola, the woodcuts by Danti; see R. Mortimer, Italian 16th cent., 538 (ed. of 1583). Printer's device at colophon (an eagle, with the initials AB for Antonio Blado). Decorated initials, head and tail pieces.
