The Digital Cicognara Library
Become a Contributing Partner
Contributions to the Digital Cicognara Library project are made through the Getty Research Portal. This workflow allows the project to complement related Portal resources by presenting volumes from the Cicognara Library within the larger art historical context. The digital facsimiles are displayed via International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) on the Digital Cicognara Library website.
To become a contributing partner, an institution must submit at least one digital surrogate to the Getty Research Portal within one year of the initial committment.
- For detailed information on how to contribute to the Digital Cicognara Library see the contributor FAQs page or contact cicognara@googlegroups.com with questions.
- Please also see the Metadata Checklist for contribution specifications.
An initiative of the Getty Research Institute, the Getty Research Portal is a free online search platform providing access to an extensive collection of digitized art history texts from a range of art libraries and museums around the world. With thirty-seven contributing institutions and access to more than 160,000 volumes, the Portal also facilitates participation in various database, bibliographic, and digital art history projects including the Digital Cicognara Library.
